I am posting this a bit late but it's okay. Here is my art summary for the year 2013! Definitely a year to remember with all the life situations I had going on and how far I have come with my artwork. As the year went on, I've learned a lot and improved my skills along the way. I also gained a lot of supporters, mentors, and, best of all, a lot of new friends. I started playing with my tablet again and went back into the world of digital art. Even so, I still stayed true to my love, traditional art. Along the way, I started trying out new techniques, mediums, so on and so forth. Because I was so caught up with my school work, my relationship issues, and now have a part time job, I had less and less time to work on art. Even so, I still try to squeeze it in whether it's art for myself or for commissions. Either way, art brings me joy and my happy place.

My biggest commission and detailed artwork I've ever done thus far. I had the opporunity to draw the most elaborate, unique, and majestic Sailor Moon fan character. These girls are indeed SM fan characters with a unique touch and story. I spent more than 14 hours on this piece and it is done on 9x12 with watercolor. I was so nervous and scared I would screw up. I did this on Livestream for about 3 days. I am very happy with the results and the commissioner, Logan / ~AnimeMachoFae !! These characters actually represent themselves. Commissioned by *MoondancerAya of her SM OC, Celestial Eos! Another big piece, quite challenging. This is when I started to do my lining differently. Because I've been using my tablet more frequently, I thought why not sketch on a digital canvas, print it, then line it using my light tracer. Saves a lot of paper, going green. Plus it helped me improve with my drawings without hand bias (when you draw then flip the image horizontally and it just looks way off). A lot easier to correct mistakes. Thank god I kept my tablet
She turned out very elaborate and I'm quite pleased with how I approached the background. Always trying something new and learning from it!

A gift to another artist, Drachea Rannak. He is very well known for his Sailor Moon drawings, but he does more than tht. It's just not his anime style, but the knowledge he has and the speed he works. He is always working on artwork for others/commissions. I figured it would be nice to give back to him as a token of appreciation. His character is pretty cool too and NOT a senshi. The color palette is way off from what I'm use to. Commissioned by *Aeraellyth !! of her first SM senshi, Sailor Archangel. My it was a surprise that I was bestowed the luxury of drawing this popular character. I love drawing angels and majestic figures. The scanned version doesn't do it justice. This is another traditional piece that I spent a lot time on.

An adopt I created that was sold to `The-Lantiis ! Girl is nuts! This is my second adopt that I have created and sold, but this one was autobought by her for a high price. You have no idea how happy I was. To have someone love my work so much that they would price my work for that much. It really made me feel more confident. Originally, I was going to keep her and use her as my design for my Overload NGC3303 for a group my fellow friends created, %Messier-Senshi but I have another design up my sleeves for that one. I do love the design and I went above and beyond creating a ref sheet! She is now in perfect hands of `The-Lantiis and I cannot wait to see what she will do with her SHe already has a story for her and will be a part of her Sailor Moon fan universe. She is also a dragon queen. YAY!!!
And there's my spill on each artwork for each month 2014 will be bigger and better. Just you wait. I have a big commission lined up that is just out of this world. I have another piece of mine to start off the new year. Then another one that I've been working on for the upcoming new Sailor Moon!!! Excitement. And pardon me... I don't normally type this much but hey!

Now that the year of 2013 has come and gone, I look forward to 2014 and what it has store for me.. whether it would be in life and/or in art. I am more in depth with my teacher program and will be taking 17 credit hours this coming Spring semester. On top of that, I will be in my teacher field experience 3 days a week (21-27 hours a week), as well as my part time job (10-20 hours a week). I will be even busier, but I will try to squeeze in as much art as possible.
As always, I thank all my family and friends as well as supporters. I hope 2014 will be bigger and better for all of you. May all your dreams and wishes come true. Never stop learning, never stop improving yourself.

This was part of my 2012 Holiday Commission! Traditional 6x9 piece. Commissioned by ~hanakogames ! They are the creators of this game "Long Live the Queen" ! What an opportunity to work with a game developer. I have to say, one of my elaborate pieces with a color palette I am not use to. I am proud of this work I am always making characters look mature and adult like... drawing younger magical girls is a different world!

Sailor Moon x Sailor Mars with a reversal of roles. Usually Sailor Moon is the submissive one compared to Mars. Well Mars... time to let your guard down! This beautiful, yet powerful character were in my hands and Froggy put much faith in me to do a good job I started playing with digital effects even more so! I think it worked out great!

Non commissioned piece. I actually did a whole series of MLP FIM crew! These were actually done very quickly and last minute for BronyCon. I met a dear friend online via Etsy who was willing to partner with me to help spread my artwork. Honestly, I NEVER watched MLP. I watched the first 3 episodes and that was it after I had drawn them to gain a better understanding of the characters. I certainly did a more sexy, seductive human rendition of all of them, especially the country girl Apple Jack. A tease, but hey I expanded what I can do Seductive girls? No problem!

A birthday gift to a friend, :devshade-lover31, of her SM fan senshi, Sailor Skadi!! Originally it was a sketch she had commissioned me to do. Due to time constraint, I kind of got lame and reused this and colored it as a birthday present. With this, I also tried new coloring techniques as well as digital effects. I have to say it came out quite well and she loved it
