Maleficent

This was a practice sketch at first. I rarely use pencil and paper anymore since I got so spoiled with a tablet. I have to say when I flip it horizontally, it was fine and was pretty happy about it since I did not use SAI or PS. Sometimes when you draw, we tend to draw towards one side. When you flip it back and forth, you can see if something is actually even or correct, such as the balance in the face, eyes and if it just looks awkward lol.

I watched Maleficent yesterday. I always loved Angelina Jolie's acting. She played the role really well and she was great looking So I wanted to doodle and practice with my pencils and blending. I used liners to outline and bold certain places to give it depth. I used watercolor for eyes and lips as they are softer to deal with and can control intensity. I did use a metallic silver pen for the ring in her eye.

I decided to "soften" her a bit because she isn't all evil or corrupt.
Also, this is not meant to be anything like Angelina Jolie.
